Bucs' Morris to return?

The Tampa Tribune is reporting that Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris sounds like a guy who knows he'll have a job next season.

When asked about QB Josh Freeman on Sunday, Morris' answer indicated that he was, at the very least, confident that he'd be kept in place by Tampa Bay.

"Josh Freeman will be judged based on what he does next year," Morris said. "So will I."

Bears players show love for Lovie

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that while Bears management is mum on the future of coach Lovie Smith , some of the team's players are coming out in support of their coach.

"I believe he deserves another shot," the story quoted defensive tackle Tommie Harris as saying. "Unfortunately, this business is known for throwing people under the bus."

Linebacker Lance Briggs is another Smith supporter.

"As far as I go, I hope Lovie is here."

The Bears have gone 7-9 for two straight seasons. It would cost the franchise a reported $11 million to get rid of Smith.
